Model: Kentec Syncro 4 Way Conventional Detection Zone Module
Compatible Panels: Kentec Syncro / Kentec Taktis
Protocol Compatibility: Hochiki ESP
The RS485 4-Zone Conventional Detection Module is designed to interface up to four conventional fire detection zones with Kentec Syncro or Taktis addressable fire alarm control panels.
The module communicates via RS485 serial bus, allowing conventional detection circuits to be integrated into a fully addressable fire alarm system. It provides supervised inputs and outputs, making it ideal for mixed (hybrid) installations where conventional devices must be connected to an addressable control panel.
This module can effectively replace a standalone conventional panel when connected to the RS485 communication network of the main control panel.
4 fully supervised conventional detection zones
Up to approximately 30 conventional detectors per zone (depending on system design)
Open circuit and short circuit monitoring
Alarm and fault status reporting to the control panel
2 supervised sounder circuits
Monitored for open/short circuit faults
Controlled directly by the main fire alarm panel
Volt-free (dry contact) relay outputs including:
Fire relay
Fault relay
Additional monitoring input for local power supply fault
RS485 serial communication interface
Bi-directional communication with the main panel
Up to 32 modules per RS485 network
Allows expansion up to:
128 conventional zones
64 sounder outputs (depending on system configuration)
Individual LED indicators for:
Zone alarm
Zone fault
Sounder status
Fully programmable via the main Syncro/Taktis panel
Designed for use with Kentec Syncro and Taktis fire alarm control panels
Compatible with Hochiki ESP protocol systems
Suitable for integration into hybrid conventional/addressable fire alarm systems
Designed for use in systems compliant with EN 54 standards (when installed as part of a certified Kentec system)
Commonly used in installations requiring compliance with UL/FM standards (subject to system configuration and approval)
Upgrading existing conventional systems to addressable platforms
Hybrid fire alarm installations
Expansion of existing Syncro/Taktis panels
Industrial, commercial, and large building applications
